Take Spring Cleaning to a new level!

A neighborhood-wide yard sale is a great way to get together with your community, sell the things you don’t need,

make some extra cash and donate gently used items that would otherwise end up in a landfill.

Our North Center yard sale never disappoints! With approximately 100 yards/porches/sideyards participating, neighbors and city-wide shoppers

are bound to find something they need or want.

WHAT TO SELL?

You can both sell items as well as provide free items you wish to give away or donate. Have lots of items to sell, but not enough room in your yard? Partner with your neighbors! Ask a friend who is registering if you can bring your items to sell out of their yard. Only the yard which will be a stop on the map needs to register. Don’t have a yard? No problem. You can choose to offer your items in a garage, alley or other owned area that is not a public sidewalk. When registering please specify where you plan to host your items.

NORTH CENTER BOUNDARIES

You can register as a yard sale host as long as you're within these boundaries. Addison on the south, the Chicago River on the west, Montrose on the north, and Ravenswood on the east. In order to participate in our community sale, you must host within these parameters. If you live outside the neighborhood, ask a friend in the neighborhood if you can join their sale!

FEE

Participation to host a yard sale is free for members, $30 for non-members. If you are NOT a member and want to participate, it's in your best interest to join NCNA (get the benefits of year-round events and programs), and THEN register for the Yard Sale at no cost!

This fee will cover the cost of promoting the event through advertising as well as the printing and thorough distribution of posters, banners, yard signs and maps. We will also work with the Alderman's office to pull the permits, but you must be registered by the deadline of May 22nd for us to do that and be included on our map.

BLOCK CHALLENGE

Clusters count - the more homes that participate on a block, the better traffic your block will receive. This year, to encourage participation NCNA will provide a pizza lunch for the block with the most homes participating on the day of the Yard Sale. Last year, the 1800 block of W. Cuyler won with 10 participating homes! Who will win the Block Challenge this year? Start encouraging your neighbors now!

WEATHER

This event will happen rain or shine so please plan for a backup in case you need it!

YARD SALE MAPS

Would you like to explore our neighborhood yard sale using your phone or would you prefer a physical map? How about both?

In the weeks leading up to the yard sale, we will provide an interactive map below (accessible through Google Maps) as well as a printable version that you can print at home!
