NCNA Full Moon Fest FAQs
What is the NCNA Full Moon Fest?
The NCNA Full Moon Fest is a community-wide dinner party whose purpose is to bring neighbors together to meet and engage in a fun, low-key environment. Several NCNA members host other members in their homes across North Center and then all come together for an afterparty, also hosted by an NCNA member.
When do the Moon Fests happen?
NCNA throws two dinner parties a year. The first is near February’s full moon, which is known as the Snow Moon; the second is near September’s full moon, AKA the Harvest Moon.
How does it work?
NCNA organizes several members to host a dinner party in their home. Other members purchase tickets and NCNA assigns them to a host. Guests arrive at the given time – usually 6:30pm – and spend the early party of the evening meeting new neighbors and chatting over a meal.
At 8:30 guests are invited to attend an afterparty where all convene at a single location for dessert, coffee, tea and after-dinner drinks.
How much do tickets cost?
Tickets for dinner only are $25; tickets for the afterparty only are $25. The cost for both parts of the event is $50.
Is this a members-only event?
Yes. Both hosts and attendees must be NCNA members.
Is the event open to children and youth?
No, guests must be of legal drinking age.
What if I have food allergies? Or I’m a vegan?
When registering for the event, the questionnaire asks about allergies and food preferences. Our hosts will do their best to accommodate all dietary limits, and we will let you know if we cannot. We can and have accommodated guests who are vegetarians and vegans, as well as those with celiac disease, lactose intolerance and nut allergies.
If I am a guest, do I need to bring anything?
Nope. Just attend and have fun!
What if I’d like to host a Moon Fest dinner or afterparty?
We’d love to have you! It’s a terrific way to meet neighbors and boost North Center. Just contact us and we’ll send you a host registration form asking questions like how many guests you can accommodate, whether your place is accessible, and if you have pets, etc. You can also find the host registration form on our website ncnaneighbors.org. If you have any questions at all, please reach out to us at
info@ncnaneighbors.org or leave a message at 872.246.1551.
Moon Fest hosts do not need tickets for the event and hosts provide the food and beverages for their guests.
